Who is Mortgage Trust? Mortgage Trust Company has been headquartered in Sarasota, Florida as a licensed FHA Correspondent Mortgage Lender since its inception in 1984. Mortgage Trust also has the distinction of being the first company approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to offer reverse mortgage loans in the State of Florida. The Company’s foresight has enabled Mortgage Trust to become recognized as a leader in the reverse mortgage industry. Assisting and helping our nation’s seniors is our mission and our heartfelt passion. While many mortgage companies like to refer to themselves as reverse mortgage specialists, very few truly are. At Mortgage Trust, our only business is reverse mortgages and as a result, we believe that our product knowledge, our years of experience, and our highly trained and dedicated loan officers will make your reverse mortgage experience emotionally satisfying and financially rewarding. While the majority of reverse mortgage loans are the FHA Insured Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) we also specialize in other jumbo and proprietary programs. Over the years, Mortgage Trust has established strategic relationships with several major reverse mortgage lenders and new relationships are continually being forged. Having these relationships allows Mortgage Trust to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner, something our clients deserve and expect. Mortgage Trust is an active member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB), and the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers (FAMB). We support Better Living for Seniors, the Area Agency for the Aging, and many other senior lifestyle groups. Our Mission Statement CODE OF CONDUCT Treat all clients with respect, honesty, dignity, and utmost professionalism. Protect the client’s privacy and confidentiality in all transactions and never give any personal information to any third party without permission from the client. Encourage clients to discuss the reverse mortgage loan with family members and/or other trusted advisors. Inform clients at no charge about all the suitable reverse mortgage programs available and which one would best serve their needs and desires. Clearly and accurately identify all costs and fees when estimating loan benefits. Loan officers shall disclose to clients any and all third parties with a financial interest in the reverse mortgage transaction.
